Data Collection
The app does not collect personal information unless you choose to send it, for example by asking Docbe Assistant for help (see below).
Data Usage
Any personal data (such as name, email, or CV details) stays on your device unless you explicitly choose to share or export it, or ask Docbe Assistant to work on it.
We do not sell your information. We share it only as this page describes: when you use Docbe Assistant, with the AI provider that processes your request.
Third-Party Services
The app may use analytics or crash reporting tools to improve stability and performance. These services may collect limited, non-personal data (such as device type and app version).
Docbe Assistant
Docbe Assistant is an optional AI helper. It does nothing until you ask it something, and nothing is sent until you do.
When you ask, the app sends: the text and layout of the page you are on, as a plain outline (never images, never the whole document); the block you selected; the titles of your other pages; your question, typed or spoken, with your last few questions so a follow-up makes sense; and facts from your assistant profile only when the request needs them. It also sends the app's language and proof that the request comes from a genuine copy of Docbe (and, if you subscribe, of your Docbe Pro subscription), so your allowance can be applied.
The request goes through Docbe's own server, which runs on Cloudflare, to one of two AI providers, Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI, which produces the change or the answer. Which of the two handles a request can change from one request to the next. If we add or change a provider, it will be named here. The request is used only to make the change or answer you asked for.
Neither provider trains its models on these requests. Anthropic deletes them within 30 days, and keeps one for up to two years only if its automated checks flag it as breaking Anthropic's usage policy; OpenAI keeps them for up to 30 days to detect abuse. Docbe's server keeps a response for at most two minutes so the app can retry a request that did not arrive, counts your requests against your allowance under an identifier from your App Store download or subscription (never your name or email), and keeps no document text in its logs.
What the assistant learns about you (such as your name or job title) is saved on your device, not on our server, and is included in your device backup. You can see, change or delete it in Settings, under “What Docbe knows about you”.
If you speak your question, Apple's speech recognition turns it into text: on your device when your language supports it, otherwise on Apple's servers. Docbe receives the text, not the recording.
To opt out, don't use the assistant: nothing is sent. To remove what it has learned about you, delete it in Settings.
Templates downloaded from docbe.app
Template designs and their preview images are not stored inside the app. When you open the template gallery, the app downloads the current template list, the templates and their previews from docbe.app and keeps a copy on your device so they load instantly and work offline afterwards. These requests contain no account, device identifier or personal data. docbe.app is served by Cloudflare, which processes the technical details of each request (such as your IP address) only to deliver the files and protect the service.
This website
docbe.app uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first service that does not use cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not track you across sites. It gives us aggregate page-view counts only. Links from this site to the App Store may carry a campaign token so we can see which pages lead to downloads; the token contains no personal information.
Your Rights
You can request deletion of any stored data at any time by contacting us.

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. We encourage you to check this page periodically to stay informed about any updates. Any changes will be posted here, and they will take effect immediately upon publication.
